This GPS system comes with features such as a screen that can be read in the brightest of sunlight. Not just that, it is loaded with roadmaps of the entire North America. If you want directions in a big hurry, it provides you with spoken turn-by-turn directions. Therefore, you will not need to worry getting lost or confused in traffic or out in the woods in the evening time. The Garmin 1490LMT has truly turned into my North Star guide. In case you are traveling during rush hours, then you can slow the pace as the nuvi 1490LMT will provide you with up-to-date traffic reports. While you are in traffic, you can also use the GPS to listen to traffic updates. Therefore, you'll be able to avoid any traffic jams before you get to that part of the freeway. I also take advantage of the Bluetooth feature that allows me to make hands-free calls when connected to my iPhone. The included free lifetime map update is ideal since I plan on keeping my Garmin nuvi 1490LMT for many years. That way I can be sure it will always be up-to-date.
